Latest Report on American House Prices
Still Confirm Their Peak Last Summer

Don't be confused by the financial media reporting that since American home prices increased last month, or because their 12-month or year-over-year changes increased, that somehow that means they are making new all-time highs - because they are not.

Further, our fundamental and technical analysis suggests that those March increases are most likely to reverse in next months report of this month's activity, which has been affected by the jump up in interest rates in general, and mortgage rates in particular.

We fully expect that these comprehensive American home price indexes will soon start accelerating their down trend from their peak levels last summer, and continue through the rest of this year and into next year as a consumer-led second recession fully develops, which we're expecting and have further addressed here: (See)
