BIOGRAPHY
Richard Williams is Director of Research, covering Enterprise Software and serving as ICAP Equity Research' Chief Market Technician. Prior to joining ICAP, Williams ran an Independent Research firm, Summit Analytic Partners that catered to institutional equity clients. Previously Mr. Williams was the Senior Software Analyst at Jefferies & Co. where he initiated coverage of technology stocks by introducing a new research segment to the Jefferies traditional energy and natural resource focus at the start of 1999. Mr. Williams was the 15th person in the world to earn both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation. Mr. Williams was selected as the top software analyst by Bloomberg Magazine out of nearly 1200 candidates and as runner-up for the 2000 Dow Award, the most prestigious award in Technical Analysis and represents the only time the runner-up distinction has been awarded. In addition, Mr. Williams was selected by Investors Business Daily as one of the top 3 stock pickers out of more than 255 software analysts. Mr. Williams graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in Political Science with a minor in Computer Science and NYU’s Stern School of Business with an MBA.
