Prior to founding Powers Asset Management, LLC, General Partner and Portfolio Manager, Bill Powers was analyst and editor of two successful investment newsletters, the Canadian Energy Viewpoint and the US Energy Investor.

Mr. Powers conducted primary and secondary research to identify small to mid-sized exploration and production (E&P) firms with experienced management, strong balance sheets and clear catalysts for growth.

Successfully targeting high-net worth individuals, investment brokers and professional money managers, Mr. Powers provided detailed corporate coverage of firms in both newsletters and maintained monthly stock portfolios cross-sectioning the North American E&P sector. Post sale of the newsletters to a professional publishing company, Mr. Powers’ continuous research, network of corporate and industry contacts and stock selection techniques are utilized directly by the Powers Energy Fund. Mr. Powers received a B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. in 1993.
