The Illuminati – What is it? – Who is it? Just the sound of its name evokes a sense of mystery and foreboding. Yet the word itself is derived from lumen or light: that which casts off light. Its meaning is shrouded in a veil of mystery; even most members are unaware of the inner source that emanates a hidden purpose across the ages of time. The energy is subtle yet powerful; gentle yet brutal; inviting yet deceitful. Anomalies and contradictions clothe its body like the multi-layered skin of an onion; which when peeled back reveals that smell - the smell that hangs around, festering with the passage of time. No other group in the New World Order Series has had the secrecy, intrigue, misinformation, and misunderstanding of the Illuminati; a tangled web of obfuscation and entrapment, rivaled only by Arachne herself. The Illuminati is, and has always been, deeply involved with the occult: that which remains hidden from sight; a most fitting description of the subject before us. It is said by many to be the mother of all secret societies, a secret society within a secret society, which would be better said: a secret society within secret societies in the plural, as its modus operandi is stealth infiltration that seeps deep into unwary hosts, as a plague unto the earth. Origins Illuminati is a Greek word, and this alone speaks to its ancient heritage. Throughout the ages the name has been used to refer to many different groups or sects. Some are very secret – others not so secret. Some are known – others not known. From the time of Christ, those that received baptism by fire, as opposed to baptism by water, were said to be initiated into the inner way, henceforth consciously treading upon the path towards enlightenment. This is the true meaning, which accords and aligns itself, as the right hand path. In Latin Illuminati means “enlightened ones”. Very few enter upon the inner way. As Christ said, “it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle, then it is to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” During the 15th century in Spain there was a “mystic” group called the Alumbrados or Iluminados. They were a Gnostic sect whose origins can be traced back to Italy – to the Carbonari – the charcoal-burners. In the 17th and 18th century a group referred to as the Illumines was active in France, with connections to the Alumbrados of Spain. Below is an extremely rare copy of their writings:
Founding The supposed founder of the Illuminati is Dr. Adam Weishaupt, which in keeping with the shrouds of purposeful confusion that always surrounds the subject, should be correctly referred to as the Bavarian Illuminati. Dr. Weishaupt was a professor of Canon Law at Ingolstadt University during the 1770’s. The University of Ingolstadt was founded in 1472, by Louis the Rich, duke of Bavaria. Exteriorizations or manifestations occur by the confluence of three factors: time, place, and circumstance. None are by accident – all is by design. As such, both the University, and Louis the Rich, are two of the many links in the chain, providing clues to that which remains unseen. Ingolstadt is said to have been planned as a replica of the University of Vienna, sharing the same self-claimed purpose: the dispursion of the Christian faith. Note that there may be a difference between Christianity and Catholicism. There is no doubt that Catholicism played a large role in what follows; Christianity we will leave to the reader’s discretion. Jesuits During the Counter-Reformation, and especially during the 1600’s, the Universtiy came to be dominated by the Jesuits. As you can see, the layers to be peeled back are legion – a veritable history of histories. The Jesuits, or Society of Jesus, was founded by Ignatius of Loyola, in 1534, however, Ignatius named the organization the Company of Jesus. The name Jesuits came later. Loyola was a soldier prior to his epiphany, which is thought to be why the Jesuits have been referred to as soldiers of Christ, and foot soldiers of the Pope. Perhaps – perhaps not. Of interest is that Pope Paul III confirmed the order through the bull Regimini militantis ecclesiae on September 27, 1540, which translates as: to the Government of the Church Militant. Loyola’s title was Father General of the Church Militant. Like the Knights of the Temple before them – they were a military order under the Pope’s direct rule. They were to “convert” non-believers, and convert they did. Loyola was obsessed with abnegation and obedience to the Pope – what Ignatius called: perinde ac cadaver, which translates as, well-disciplined like a corpse. Ingatius’s overiding belief was: Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam - "for the greater glory of God", which he also expressed with his infamous statement: "I will believe that the white that I see is black if the hierarchical Church so defines it." [2] Note the words hierarchical Church, as opposed to Christ. Perhaps this goes towards the difference between Catholicism and Christianity – perhaps not. Enough of the Jesuits, we return to the founder of the Univerity at Ingolstadt - Louis the Rich, duke of Bavaria. Louis the Rich Duke Louis IX of Bavaria was born in 1417, in Burghausen, and lived until 1479, in Landshut. Louis was Duke of Bavaria-Landshut from 1450-1479. He was the son of Henry XVI the Rich and Margarete of Austria. Louis was famous for his expulsion from his Dukedom of all Jews who refused baptism. Catholicism versus Christianity again? His father – Henry XVI, was the son of duke Frederick and his wife Maddalena Visconti, a daughter of Bernabò Visconti. Frederick was the second son of Stephen II and Elizabeth of Sicily. Steven was the second son of Emperor Louis IV and Beatrix of Silesia-Glogau, and a member of the Wittelsbach dynasty. The plot thickens. Lines of Descent When his father died in 1347, Stephen succeeded him as Duke of Bavaria and Count of Holland and Hainaut. Stephen II was the last son of Emperor Louis IV who was absolved from the excommunication of 1362 – from the Church that is. Louis IV of Bavaria was of the House of Wittelsbach and duke of Bavaria from 1294-1301. He was also count of the Palatinate until 1329, and German king from 1314. Last but not least, Louis was crowned Holy Roman Emperor, in 1328. Kings are kings, but Holy Roman Emperors are the King of Kings, at least here on earth; and of course, according to the Church and the Pope, who annoints them with his blessing.

Margaret was the daughter of William III of Hainaut and Holland, and his wife, Jeanne of Valois. On 26 February, 1324, in Cologne she married Emperor Louis IV of Bavaria. Louis was a son of Louis II, Duke of Upper Bavaria and Count Palatine of the Rhine and Mechthild (Matilda), a daughter of King Rudolph I. Duke Louis II of Bavaria was Duke of Bavaria and Count Palatine of the Rhine from 1253. Born in Heidelberg, he was a son of duke Otto II and Agnes of Palatinate. Her grandfathers were the dukes Henry XII the Lion and Conrad of Hohenstaufen. Now the plot really is getting thick, and on both sides. Otto II of Bavaria 1206 – 1253, was the Duke of Bavaria and Count Palatine of the Rhine. He was a son of Louis I and Ludmila of Bohemia and a member of the Wittelsbach dynasty.
Now, obviously the lines of descent can be traced back further and further, which will be done in other articles in the series. For now we move on. House of Wittelsbach All In The FamilyThe point is that in the short span of lineage covered above, one can see that ruling families or “royalty”, kept things in the family by the use of marriage – marriage between, and within, the same families. This keeping of things within the same families sounds very much like a society within a society, does it not? And it is a very elite society at that, one composed of a very few families. Cui Bono? Follow the money or wealth. Might there be a connection between secret societies and the elite? Perhaps there is a connection between the lust for power and the lust for wealth? Yet, as we will see, the Bavarian Illuminati were said to be for the overthrow of nation states, of royalty or otherwise – another layer to be peeled off. Bavarian Illuminati Returning to the Bavarian Illuminati and Adam Weishaupt, we find that on May 1, 1776, Weishaupt organized the secret society, while still teaching at Ingolstadt. It is fascinating how the date coincides with the founding of America, begging the question: by design or accident? Even more fascinating is that the Great Seal of the United States has inscribed on it: Novus Ordo Seclorum – New World Order (literally – New Secular Order). It also contains the Latin phrase: Annuit Coeptis, which means “gives the nod (assents) to the undertakings.” Both phrases appear in the writings of Virgil. The Great Seal of the U.S.

Hall stated in The Secret Teachings of All Ages: "Not only were many of the founders of the United States government Masons, but they received aid from a secret and august body existing in Europe which helped them to establish this country for A PECULIAR AND PARTICULAR PURPOSE known only to the initiated few." [3] The pyramid is obviously taken from Egypt, and the eye as depicted was also prevalent in Egypt, as the eye of Osiris – Osiris actually means: “throne of the eye.” Thus we see a connection between Illuminati symbolism that goes back to Egypt and forward to America. Symbols The symbol of the Illuminati is said to be a point within a circle, expressive of the rays of the sun emanating out from a central source. It probably is true that Weishaupt considered the point within a circle to be expressive of such; however, there is much more to the symbol then rays of light shining forth from the sun. This is nothing more than pagan Sun worship, which is about as far as Weishaupt ever got. As we will see – Sun worship was one of many left hand paths of the Illuminati gone astray. The point within the circle is the most basic visual expression that denotes manifestation or creation. All exteriorizations or manifestations in the physical world occur by points that become circles: constructing form by point, line, angle, and degree. It is representative of the process by which matter is precipitated forth from substance. Pythagoras was aware of this symbol and its process. Pythagoras was a true student of the ancient way - the way of the right hand path. Weishaupt tread upon the left hand path. He had no understanding of the true inner way from the time of the ancients. Such is easily discernible from his writings, and professed goals – one world rule according to a New World Order. There is nothing sacred or spiritual about such an order, which is why it is referred to as secular – not sacred. Weishaupt was mesmerized by ancient Zoroastrian-Manichaean fire cult worship, which is nothing more then another form of pagan Sun worship. The dominant cult of the ancient world was Sun worship. The Sun comprises 99% of all matter in our solar system. Hesse-Kassel
Kassel or Cassel is a city in northern Hessen, Germany. During the American Revolutionary War, Karl, Landgraf von Hesse-Kassel, Prince of the Hessen Royal Family, hired out thousands of his mercenaries to Great Britain to fight against the Americans in the Revolutionary War. Hessen Coat of Arms Karl’s mercinaries were his greatest source of income and wealth. He was a merchant of death, who traded souls for gold and silver: the devil’s work. Rothschild Connection Of significance is that Mayer Amschel Rothschild received his first major business deal from the Langraf of Hesse-Kassel, hired to procure rare gold coins for him. Soon he was acting as the Landraf’s personal investment and financial advisor. Rothschild had planted the seed in fertile ground, and it soon blossomed into a most fruitful banking enterprise. In the many biographies of Mayer Amschel Rothschild, the scion of the House of Rothschild, and the great banking dynasty to come thereafter, he is often reported to have been seen, and known to frequent, the Landgraf’s castle for more than investment purposes. It was common knowledge that Karl was deeply involved in the occult, and that secret meetings involving rights, initiations, masses, and other strange occurrences were constantly going on at his castle.
Conrad I was duke of Franconia from 906, and king of Germany from 911 to 918. Rothschild Coat of Arms Carolingian Empire Conrad was appointed duke by the court of the last true Carolingian ruler of East Francial, Louis the Child. He was the only legitimate son of the Emperor Arnulf and his wife, Ota, a member of the Conradine Dinasty. Arnulf is descended from the line of Lothair I, king of Italy (818 – 855) and Holy Roman Emperor (840 – 855). He was the eldest son of the emperor Louis the Pious, and his wife Ermengarde of Hesbaye. In 815 Lothair became king of Bavaria. His grandfather was none other then Charlemagne, thus Lothair was the heir to the entire Carolingian Empire. It’s a small world after all, at least as far as royalty and nation states go. Masonic Congress Hesse-Cassel was a focal point of many things, especially those of the occult. In 1782, the Masonic Congress of Wilhelmsbad was held near Hanau in Hesse-Cassel. It was called by Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick. Baron von Knigge was in attendance, representing the Illuminati. Ferdinand was Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and a Prussian Generalfeldmarschall, and Grand Master of the Freemasonry Order of the Strict Observance. He was married to Augusta, a sister of George III of Great Britain. His eldest son, Karl George August, married Frederika, daughter of William V, Prince of Orange and Wilhelmina of Prussia, in 1790. The Edicts
In 1784, von Knigge resigned from the Bavarian Illuminati, having repeated disagreements with Weishaupt. That same year the Elector of Bavaria, Duke Carl Theodore, issued the first edict against secret societies not authorized by the law or the sovereign.
The Bavarian Monarch issued a second edict against secret societies, in 1785, signaling out the Illuminati and Freemasonry as the most dangerous and subversive groups.
Weishaupt escaped across the border to Regensburg, to the court of Ernest Lewis, Duke of Saxe-Gotha, a known member of the Illuminati. Saxe-Coburg-Gotha were the names of two German duchies of Saxe-Coburg and Saxe-Gotha in Germany, located in Bavaria and Thuringi. The House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha The name Saxe-Coburg-Gotha also refers to the family of the ruling House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. The blood lines here run deep. The House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha was the Royal House of several European monarchies, including Belgium and the United Kingdom, through the line of descent from Prince Albert.
The House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha is a line of the Saxon House of Wettin, which means the House of Windsor is a line of the House of Wettin. In 1787, the last edict against the Order of the Illuminati was issued by the Duke of Bavaria.The House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha Any individuals charged and found guilty of carrying on the activities of the Bavarian Illuminati were to be put to death by the sword. This order inspired Weishaupt to stay in Regensburg under the protection of Ernest Lewis, Duke of Saxe-Gotha. Summary Let’s review what we have uncovered so far:
The above is only a reiteration of some of the many points we have covered thus far. They do on their own provide a fascinating exegesis. Goals of the Order Henry Martin explains Weishaupt’s goals for the Illuminati thusly: “Weishaupt . . . proposed as the end of Illuminism the abolition of property, social authority, nationality, and the return of the human race to the happy state in which it formed only a single family without artificial needs, without useless sciences, every father being priest and magistrate. Priest of we know not what religion, for in spite of their frequent invocations of the God of Nature, many indications lead us to conclude that Weishaupt had, like Diderot and d'Holbach, no other God than Nature herself. From his doctrine would naturally follow German ultra-Hegelianism and the system of anarchy recently developed in France, of which the physiognomy suggests a foreign origin.” [4] This quote provides a look into the inner beliefs of the Illuminati: they are said to have had no other God than nature herself. Martin comes very close to the heart of the Bavarian Illuminati with this statement, as well as the beliefs of many of the pagan mystery cults associated therewith. It would be quite logical for one to conclude that nature was the object of the Illuminati’s worship, however, it is not nature that was idolized as God by the Illuminati – it was the entity that ruled over nature which they worshiped. By this mistaken and ungrounded belief, the Illuminati deny the human race of its higher Spiritual origin and being. This is one of the greatest mistakes man has made in trying to understand his being. He constantly considers himself to be of nature when he is not. The physical body is of nature, but the consciousness within is not of nature, or the physical world – it is beyond the bounds of nature. As Christ said: “I am in the world, but not of it.” Further insight into Weishaupt’s deluded thinking can be seen in the following statement he made: “Do you realize sufficiently what it means to rule - to rule in a secret society? Not only over the lesser or more important of the populace, but over the best of men, over men of all ranks, nations, and religions, to rule without external force, to unite them indissolubly, to breathe one spirit and soul into them, men distributed over all parts of the world? . . . And finally, do you know what secret societies are? What a place they occupy in the great kingdom of the world's events? Do you think they are unimportant, transitory appearances?” [5] Such utterances are the ranting of an elitist madman unleashed. Man is to be ruled by deception, illusion, and delusion, the end goal being a New World Order of one world governance that rules over the entire earth. There is nothing here of the sacred – only of the secular and less. Object of Worship It is nothing more than the sickness brought on by the lust for power – evil personified. The Illuminati do not worship nature – they worship that which rules nature – Lucifer, the fallen star. "Aurora, watchful in the reddening dawn, threw wide her crimson doors and rose-filled halls; the Stars took flight, in marshalled order set by Lucifer, who left his station last." [6] This is the origin of the name Lucifer/Illuminati, as practiced by Weishaupt and most of the other pagan orders. Lucifer was once a shining star, prior to being cast out of heaven, down to the earth below, his new kingdom to rule – for a time, a time that ends: “for when the Perfect comes, the imperfect shall cease to be.” [7] And how did Weishaupt plan to accomplish his goal of a one world New World Order? "The object of the first degrees of Illuminism is at once to train their young men, and to be informed of every thing that is going forward by a system of espionage. The Superiors aim at procuring from their inferiors diplomatic acts, documents, and original writings. With pleasure they see them commit any treasons or treacherous acts, because they not only turn the secrets betrayed to their own advantage, but thereby have it in their power to keep the traitors in a perpetual dread, lest, if they every showed any signs of stubbornness, their malefactions should be made known. Oderint dum metuant, let them hate, provided they fear, is the principle of their government.” [7] Does this sound like the teachings of Christ? I think not. Any form of government that is based on fear and hate is one that is solely intended to rule over and dominate its “subjects”, relegating individual freedom and liberty to subservience to the elite few who govern or pilot (steer) the ship their way – which is not the Way. Admiralty Law of the Dictator Admiralty law is thus the law of the dictator – not of the people. Is the law of the sea the same as the law of the land? This question will be seen to be more and more important, as the year 2012 approaches. Why was the law of the sea of such importance in earlier times, man still lived upon the ground? Yes, but man needed to trade goods he had for those he didn’t have and needed. This required transportation of goods to viable marketplaces. Shipping in large vessels was ideal for the increased trade and commerce occasioned by the ease and speed of water travel. Rivers and seas offered huge “roads” able to move more goods from point A to point B and back again. The ancients indulged in worldwide trade with partners on the other sides of the earth by using water routes. It has always been, and still is about trade routes, and who controls them, and at what cost. But it appears we are straying from our subject: the Illuminati. We have gone from criticizing non-Christian like behavior, to admiralty law of the sea, to trade routes, and now international trade. Money & the Illuminati Something not often mentioned when the Illuminati is discussed is where do they get their money from. Money for what one may ask. Money to write and publish works on their beliefs, money to advertise, money to pay for holding conferences and meetings, money to convert non-believers to believers, money to pay for “spies” to infiltrate, money to buy off officials of the state, etc. etc. The Illuminati desires to topple governments and religions, and other established institutions, in order to establish their New World Order - a one world government. This is no small undertaking, and requires large sums of money to even begin to affect. This leads us to what all the above seemingly disparate topics have in common: money, and the men that control the money – the moneychangers. He who controls the money, controls all else. As Mayer Rothschild said: “I care not who is King or Queen, as long as I control the money”. Unfortunately the Baron knew from whence he spoke. In the first paper in this series, The New World Order Age of Discontent (click link) we discussed the coming of the Industrial Revolution, and questioned why it all started in Europe, and predominantly in England. The following is a verbatim quote from that first paper: The Industrial RevolutionThere can be no doubt that the industrial revolution was an earth-shattering event that forever changed the landscape, as well as the lives of those thereon. It began in the late seventeen hundreds in Europe, its highpoint the middle to late 1800’s. A question of some substance is why did it start in Europe, predominantly in England, before other nations strode upon the stage? Why did England dominate the world from the mid 1700’s to the early 1900’s – until the end of the war? The people that flooded into Europe during the Dark and Medieval Ages came up from the south and east; and down from the North and West. Once the Roman Empire fell the next millennium witnessed a great Diaspora spreading its wings across the land: the migration of man had begun. The fields of England were chosen as the center ground. The all-seeing owl nodded his head in approval, as he cast a glance over his shoulder – his shadow reflected upon the earth. [8] The New Seat of Power So there we have it. The wise old owl chose England as the new seat of the money power – the same power centered in Rome for centuries had moved North, bringing with it a great migration of the human race, spreading forth across Europe. When all is said and done – the true goal of the elite is money and power, in no certain order. Some prefer power, others prefer riches – many desire and most have both. Weishaupt was driven by the lust for power. We have seen the connection between the Rothschilds and the Illuminati through their middleman, the Landgrave of Hesse-Cassle; he who traded in death - for pieces of gold and silver. From such a start of outer fortune, paid for by the surrender to obtain the storage of inner treasures, the House of Rothschild rose to control the purse strings of all the Kings and Queens of Europe. The money power is far greater than the military power, for without money to pay for the war machine – there is no war. The dogs of war must be fed or they quickly turn on the hand that feeds them. We have also seen how all the so called “royal” or ruling Houses of Europe were intertwined and entangled in a web of lies and deceit, whose form could only be held together by the breeding of one elite family with another, and in some instances, interbreeding within the same family. The elite banking dynasties employed the same blueblood breeding.

Oligarchy is from the Greek words: few and rule, and literally means rule by the few. The elite establish themselves above the rest of the people by a combination of inheritance, wealth, and military force or power. One example of an oligarchy is the elite ruling class of wealthy collectivists who governed Venice from 500-1700. A Prime Minister was appointed called the Doge, who had no formal powers, but acted as a figurehead.

The Cabinet reported to the Senate or Great Council, which included all the selected elite. The Venetian oligarchy made Venice into the most powerful city-state in all of Europe. In the 16th Century the Venetians moved their financial empire to London, which became the new financial center of the world. The oligarchy’s tentacles were spreading out across the globe, spanning the Atlantic to reach the United States – and Wall Street. A marriage consecrated in hell.
CadOro, Venice, Italy This is the Illuminati of the left hand path – the elitist path to secure money, power, and world domination – a New World Order – their order of one world governance by the select few over the many: Weishaupt’s life-long goal. The Ancient Mystery Cults Weishaupt had a fascination with the ancient mystery schools, the reason for which, upon further discussion will be self-evident. There were many ancient mystery schools, we will cover the following to provide a few examples for the reader’s review to aid in discerning the subject before us. The Eleusinian Mysteries The Eleusinian Mysteries celebrated or worshiped the cult of Demeter and Persephone. Eleusis was an ancient city in Greece where the cult began around 2000-1500 BC. The Mysteries incorporated both Sun Worship and Fertility or Earth Worship, as did most ancient pagan systems. The Roman emperor Theodosius I closed the temples and retreats in AD 392. When Alaric, King of the Goths, invaded Greece in 396, he destroyed the temples and other remaining artifacts of the cult. We note the word culture contains the root cult. The Cult of Mithras Mithras was the god of the Roman Empire from the 5th century BC to the 5th century AD. The cult flourished in and around the Eastern Mediterranean area. Mithras is the Greek masculine form of Mithra, the god of the Persians. The Roman worship of Mithras can be traced back to similar cults in Mesopotamia and Sumeria due to its focus on astrology that Babylon and the Chaldeans were known for. Below is a picture worth a 1000 words, to which we have only added a few. This relief holds a great deal of ancient knowledge – knowledge that time has almost forgot. But that is time’s weakness, which will be overcome.
The Telling A serpent and dog are drinking blood from the bull's open wound , and a scorpion attacks the bull's testicles. In the upper corners are Helios (Sol/Sun) with a raven, and Luna (Moon). Many believe this depicts the sacrifice of a “sacred” bull as an “offering” to the Gods. There is much more revealed here then meets the eye. Notice the animals dipicted: a bull, a dog, a serpent, a scorpion, a raven, and the two symbols of the Sun and Moon. The bull is Taurus, the snake Hydra, the dog Canis Major or Minor, the raven Corvus. The torch-bearers are the two equinoxes. Mithras is Perseus, whose constellation is above that of Taurus the bull. This relief is a depiction of the Progression of the Equinox’s, when the age of Taurus ended, hence the death of the bull. The Age of Taurus ran from about 4700 BC to 2500 BC with the age of Aries then beginning. Taurus is an earth sign. The Age of Aries ran from 2500 BC to 300 BC. Aries is the sign of the ram and is a fire sign. During this period there was a great deal of sun or fire worship prevalent on earth. From 300 BC to 1900 AD the earth entered the sign of Pisces. Pisces is a water sign. From 1900 to 4100 we have entered the sign of Aquarius. One last astrological bit of esoterica: the word Sphinx is almost always associated with Egypt. There is, however, another myth of the Sphinx from Thebes. The Sphinx terrorized Thebes until Oedipus passes by and solves the riddle. The Theban Sphinx is a hybrid creature with the head of a woman, the body of a lion, the wings of an eagle, and the tail of a serpent. She punishes all who fail to answer her riddle by strangulation. The Greek verb sphingein means to strangle. Hence most associate the Greek verb to be the complete etymology of the word. Perhaps – perhaps not.
