TWILIGHT'S
LAST GLEAMING
The action begins in 1981 (the near future for this 1977 release) and centers on former US Air Force general Lawrence Dell (Burt Lancaster), a Vietnam veteran who served five years as a POW. Upon his return, Dell became a vocal advocate of disclosing the truth behind US involvement in Southeast Asia in the hope that a post-Watergate America would forgive its government and have renewed faith in its leaders. Regarded as a dangerous embarrassment by the higher-ups, Lancaster is framed on a manslaughter charge and sent to prison. Still determined, he recruits three inmates (Paul Winfield, Burt Young, and William Smith) to help him escape and take over a nearby SAC base that he helped design. Once in control of the base, Dell demands that the president (Charles Durning) reveal the truth about the Vietnam War to the American people by reading National Security Council document 9759 on national television. If these demands that top-secret Vietnam files are not made public, Dell promises to send the nine Titan missiles to their targets in the Soviet Union. Twilight’s Last Gleaming is a stunning indictment of the arrogance of America's decision makers and the lengths to which they will go to maintain "business as usual." At the same time it also dramatizes the danger of our unthinking faith in technology. Tellingly, it comes as a deep shock to the military that their usually reliable machines and detailed procedures seem to have gone haywire on the day of the siege (of the missile silo he is in – Ed), leaving them powerless to stop Dell. Though a bit slow at the outset and suffering from some occasional lapses of logic, Robert Aldrich's film--shot in Germany with no cooperation from the US military--is a fascinating, tension-filled effort. Lancaster contributes a fine performance as the righteous, populist general, and Durning is superb as the president who comes to share Lancaster's high hopes. Further, Aldrich uses some remarkable split-screen techniques that add to the film's tension and speed up the complicated expository passages. Despite some flaws, Twilight’s Last Gleaming is a gripping drama that will have you on the edge of your seat until the bitter end. This movie has never been released on either VHS or DVD, and obviously does not have a happy ending. The President is shot dead by members of some shadowy branch of American Special Forces before he is allowed to reveal one word of this document; and, if my memory serves me correctly…General Dell (Lancaster) suffers a similar fate. I thought I’d mention this movie, as it fits into the general theme of this essay. As a member of GATA (The Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee) for the last four years, most of my efforts have been centered on exposing the fraud surrounding the suppression of both the price of gold and silver. But in the last year or so, it has become obvious to me that the suppression of commodity prices in general and gold and silver in particular are part of a much larger scheme that has been ongoing for decades. My first inkling of the scope of general commodity price suppression came in an article by Peter Warburton: “The Debasement of World Currency: It is Inflation But Not as We Know It”. Here are three paragraphs from this essay. I’ve used them before in other commentary, but they are worth reviewing again… Central banks are engaged in a desperate battle on two fronts “What we see at present is a battle between the central banks and the collapse of the financial system fought on two fronts. On one front, the central banks preside over the creation of additional liquidity for the financial system in order to hold back the tide of debt defaults that would otherwise occur. On the other, they incite investment banks and other willing parties to bet against a rise in the prices of gold, oil, base metals, soft commodities or anything else that might be deemed an indicator of inherent value. Their objective is to deprive the independent observer of any reliable benchmark against which to measure the eroding value, not only of the US dollar, but of all fiat currencies. Equally, their actions seek to deny the investor the opportunity to hedge against the fragility of the financial system by switching into a freely traded market for non-financial assets. It is important to recognize that the central banks have found the battle on the second front much easier to fight than the first. Last November, I estimated the size of the gross stock of global debt instruments at $90 trillion for mid-2000. How much capital would it take to control the combined gold, oil and commodity markets? Probably no more than $200 billion using derivatives. Moreover, it is not necessary for the central banks to fight the battle themselves, although central bank gold sales and gold leasing have certainly contributed to the cause. Most of the world’s large investment banks have over-traded their capital so flagrantly that if the central banks were to lose the fight on the first front, then their stock would be worthless. Because their fate is intertwined with that of the central banks, investment banks are willing participants in the battle against rising gold, oil and commodity prices. Central banks, and particularly the US Federal Reserve, are deploying their heavy artillery in the battle against a systemic collapse. This has been their primary concern for at least seven years. Their immediate objectives are to prevent the private sector bond market from closing its doors to new or refinancing borrowers and to forestall a technical break in the Dow Jones Industrials. Keeping the bond markets open is absolutely vital at a time when corporate profitability is on the ropes. Keeping the equity index on an even keel is essential to protect the wealth of the household sector and to maintain the expectation of future gains. For as long as these objectives can be achieved, the value of the US dollar can also be stabilized in relation to other currencies, despite the extraordinary imbalances in external trade.” *********************************************************************************************************** This article was written in April 2001, and most of what is in those three paragraphs is still relevant today; although commodity prices have started to head north as the US dollar has started heading south, which was not the case when Warburton wrote this essay. The whole essay is hyperlinked here. A lot of water has gone under the proverbial bridge in the two and a half years since Warburton wrote that. Three very critical essays were posted at Bill Murphy’s LeMetropoleCafe in December that put things in much sharper ‘big picture’ focus. These essays not only involve gold price manipulation (and by extension, silver) but also the suppression of long-term interest rates in the bond market. The first of these essays is by Dan Norcini… “An Analysis of the U.S. Long Bond and its Relation to the Japanese Yen”; and the second by Michael Bolser, “Government Intervention: Gold and Long-term Interest Rates”. These two essays (although joined at the hip) were written independently of each other, and neither GATA author was aware of what the other was writing. Considering the subject material of these two essays, the fact that they were both published within a day of each other is very serendipitous. The third essay is another Reg Howe classic, “Gold Derivatives: Hitting the Iceberg. Most of you have read these definitive works. If not, the hyperlinks are all in place. These three essays deal exclusively with conspiracy to thwart the free market process for the benefit of the “powers that be”…whoever they are…and for whatever purpose they may have. This is what the GATA army (and now many others) has been scaling the ramparts about for the last number of years. Reg Howe says it best in his essay “…for they (gold bugs) dream of a world in which gold is again the international monetary numéraire and where all peoples and nations meet on a level economic playing field characterized by free markets and an absence of malignant government intervention.” These blatant manipulations of gold, silver, long bond interest rates are also joined by the ongoing manipulations of the US equity markets. Mike Bolser’s daily commentary at LeMetropoleCafe spells it out chapter and verse. The Elliott Wavers and technical analysts are beside themselves these days…but the truth of the matter is, the U.S. Federal Reserve is giving away free (or virtually free) money for the purchase of stock index futures to both the major Wall Street brokerage firms and the investment banks (the Fed’s primary dealers). Peter Warburton also mentions that very thing in his three paragraphs earlier in this essay. The American stock markets are rigged seven ways to heaven, and they will not be allowed to fall until “the powers that be” allow it. And when that day comes, look out below. You will see what I mean towards the end of the essay. I don’t wish to dwell on these particular conspiracies too long, as I wish to change direction and talk about other conspiracies. One of the traps that (in my opinion) the gold conspiracy world is falling into is the belief that these shenanigans that we can see now are all there is. But every day or week some other piece of evidence comes along that indicates that the rot is deeper, wider and higher than we imagined. These three latest essays at LeMetropoleCafe take us another step down the road to perdition and Reg Howe’s “malignant government intervention”. It was becoming obvious to me several years back that there was a much bigger game afoot, and I have written about it before. What set me off to write this essay was an e-mail I got in my inbox about two weeks ago. I knew as soon as I read it that I would have to write about it. And once Messrs Norcini, Bolser and Howe had written their pieces; their works were the trigger that compelled me to write about it now. All of the above manipulations and conspiracies are a sideshow (but an important one) to another show that’s going on right now…the biggest one of all. What I have discovered (thanks to the extensive work of others) is that the following four groups of inter-related organizations are working towards not only the destruction of democracy in the United States, but also the destruction of democracy worldwide. Also included in their game plan is the destruction of the nation state itself…all nation states. This is the infamous New World Order. The four organizations where they ‘hide in plain sight’ are the following…The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), The Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA), The Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderberg Group. Not much ever shows up in the press about these organizations, because virtually every major news organization in the democratic world has many of their senior management (and their boards of directors) as a member of one or more of these groups. However, on the May 22, 2003, the Asia Times did a piece on this year’s Bilderberg Conference. It is entitled “The Masters of the Universe”, and is hyperlinked here. Please read it carefully. In my essay “The Grand Deception” I went into quite a dissertation on these organizations. It showed how the power elite in the United States convinced the citizens (by aiding and abetting the enemy to strike first) to go to war in both WWI and WWII, and how the events of 9/11 justified this new “War on Terrorism/Islam”. However, the real objective of the game is the destruction of the American Constitution and democracy throughout the world so that this “New World Order” can impose one world government on us all. Well, that game is still on. And for those of you who haven’t read G.. Edward Griffin’s book “The Creature from Jekyll Island: a Second Look at the Federal Reserve”, you can read an abridged version of it at Mr. Griffin’s website. Read the preamble and scroll down the page. It’s in five parts and you will need to pack a lunch (and maybe dinner) because it’s a huge read…and it’s a ‘must’ read, and if you can’t or won’t read the book, then you should read this hyperlink now for before continuing. Another book that is “must reading” is James Perloff’s 1988 classic “The Shadows of Power: The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and the American Decline”. This book is now in its 10th printing. Here’s what a couple of reviewers had to say about the book… “This is about an organization created by an elite group of very powerful men - financers, mass media tycoons, military, big business and intelligentsia - with the sole purpose of driving the United States and the rest of the world into One World Government. Chapter after chapter, the reader becomes more and more aware of how this well financed and organized "council" has planned the destiny of the world, and how they have used their elite members and inserted them into policy and support positions, plus the financing of presidential candidates of both major political parties. They have their members placed inside the White House as advisors and counselors to create laws and legislations to undermine the American Constitution, the civil rights and liberties of the American citizens, manipulate presidents, the Congress, the Senate and spread U.S. military hegemony over the rest of the world. Also Mr. Perloff give us facts of how this organization had an active role before WWI, the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, the economic support of the communists in the Soviet Union and their satellites, the rearmament of Germany, WWII, the Vietnam conflict, the domination of the mass media and the manipulation of American public opinion to fulfill their purposes. But the most shocking fact in this book is that "Globalism” or “Globalization" is the main reason why CFR was created, and in reality, it is (in some respects) here already…meaning that in one way or another they are succeeding with one of their principal goals. Perloff’s book gives a great history lesson, but not the best. That would be 'The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve' by G. Edward Griffin.” Reviewers….O. Vasquez & P. Samdahl Griffin refers to CFR many times…in both his book (The Creature) and the abridged version on his website, and you can bet your last nickel that there’s nothing in Perloff’s book that will help you sleep at night either. I got both books through Amazon.com. I’ve read a lot about these “New World Order” organizations, and a handful of names keep popping up. The fountainhead of all this nonsense is a guy by the name of Cecil John Rhodes and what he wrote in his will of 1877. Rhodes himself calls it a "Confession of Faith". Here are a couple of direct quotes (unedited) from his will that gives you an idea of just how it all started, and what drives these four organizations….
“(In every Colonial legislature the Society should attempt to have its members prepared at all times to vote or speak and advocate the closer union of England and the colonies, to crush all disloyalty and every movement for the severance of our Empire. The Society should inspire and even own portions of the press for the press rules the mind of the people. The Society should always be searching for members who might by their position in the world by their energies or character forward the object but the ballot and test for admittance should be severe)…..For fear that death might cut me off before the time for attempting its development I leave all my worldly goods in trust to S. G. Shippard and the Secretary for the Colonies at the time of my death to try to form such a Society with such an object.” …from The Last Will and Testament of Cecil John Rhodes…the summer of 1877…. The entire will of Cecil John Rhodes is hyperlinked here…and I’d read the entire URL if I were you. It will take less than ten minutes to go through it. As a matter of fact, proceed no further until you have…it’s that important. Rhodes had secured a huge personal fortune from his ‘escapades’ in the diamond mines of South Africa, so he certainly was in a position to finance it. Rhodes' secret society was called the Round Table; and its American branch, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), was set up just after World War I, as the headquarters moved, in effect, across the Atlantic. The CFR set up The Trilateral Commission to co-ordinate North America, Western Europe and Japan. Let me quote the following directly from pages 154 to 157 of James Perloff’s book on the CFR… “This organization was the brainchild of David Rockefeller. Helping the CFR chairman develop the concept was Zbigniew Brzezinski, who laid the first stone in Foreign Affairs Magazine (CFR’s monthly publication - Ed) in 1970: “A new and broader approach is needed --- creation of a community of the developed nations which can effectively address itself to the larger concerns confronting mankind. In addition to the United States and Western Europe, Japan ought to be included… A council representing the United States, Western Europe and Japan, with regular meeting of the heads of governments as well as some small standing machinery, would be a good start.” That same year, Brzezinski elaborated these thoughts in his book Between Two Ages. It showed Brzezinski to be a classic CFR man --- a globalist more than lenient toward Communism. He declared that “National sovereignty is no longer a viable concept,” and that “Marxism represents a further vital and creative stage in the maturing of man’s universal vision.. Marxism is simultaneously a victory of reason over belief…” (Emphasis is mine – Ed) The Trilateral Commission was formally established in 1973 and consisted of leaders in business, banking, government, and mass media from North America, Western Europe, and Japan. David Rockefeller was the founding chairman and Brzezinski founding director of the North American branch, most of whose members were also in the CFR. In the Wall Street Journal, David Rockefeller explained that “The Trilateral Commission is, in reality, a group of concerned citizens interested in fostering greater understanding and cooperation among international allies.” But it was not all so innocent according to Jeremiah Novak, who wrote in the Atlantic (July 1977): “The Trilateralists’ emphasis on international economics is not entirely disinterested, for the oil crisis forced many developing nations, with doubtful repayment abilities, to borrow excessively. All told, private multinational banks, particularly Rockefeller’s Chase Manhattan, have loaned nearly $52 billion to developing countries. An overhauled IMF would provide another source of credit for these nations, and would take the big private banks off the hook. (“The Name of the Game is Bailout”, Chapter 2, Page 25, The Creature from Jekyll Island – Ed). This proposal is the cornerstone of the Trilateral plan.” Senator Barry Goldwater put it less mercifully. In his book With No Apologies, he termed the Commission “David Rockefeller’s newest international cabal,” and said, “It is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States.” On the run for the Presidency of one James (Jimmy) Earl Carter, Senator Goldwater wrote: “David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski found Jimmy Carter to be their ideal candidate. They helped him win the nomination and the presidency. To accomplish this purpose, they mobilized the money power of the Wall Street bankers, the intellectual influence of the academic community --- which is subservient to the wealth of the great tax-free foundations --- and the media controllers represented in the membership of the CFR and the Trilateral.” Seven months before the Democratic nominating convention, the Gallup Poll found less than four percent of Democrats favoring Jimmy Carter for President. But almost overnight --- like Willkie and Eisenhower before him --- he became the candidate. By the convention, his picture had appeared on Time’s cover three times, and Newsweek’s twice. Time’s cover artists were even instructed to make Carter resemble John F. Kennedy as much as possible.” I think you’d have to agree that Mr. Perloff’s book contains some interesting material. There’s a lot more than that between the covers of “The Shadows of Power: The Council on Foreign Relations and the American Decline”. I highly recommend that you buy it and read it. As it turns out, in the current crop of CFR and Trilateral Commission members, one of the scariest names that shows up (besides Henry Kissinger) is this fellow Zbigniew Brzezinski. He was President Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor way back when. I’m sure you can figure out how he got to that position after reading what Perloff had to say. In his 1997 book “The Grand Chessboard – American Primacy and it’s Geostrategic Imperatives” (Basic Books) Zbigniew Brzezinski (Zbig to his friends) lays out a brass knuckles no-holds-barred war plan for America to take over the world, and how it has to be done. This plan is now in the execution stage. Let me quote a few paragraphs from the hyperlinked essay about this book and its real meaning…… World events since the attacks of September 11, 2001 have not only been predicted, but also planned, orchestrated and – as their architects would like to believe – controlled. The current Central Asian war is not a response to terrorism, nor is it a reaction to Islamic fundamentalism. It is in fact, in the words of one of the most powerful men on the planet, the beginning of a final conflict before total world domination by the United States leads to the dissolution of all national governments. This, says Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member and former Carter National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski, will lead to nation states being incorporated into a new world order, controlled solely by economic interests as dictated by banks, corporations and ruling elites concerned with the maintenance (by manipulation and war) of their power. As a means of intimidation for the unenlightened reader who happens upon this frightening plan – the plan of the CFR - Brzezinski offers the alternative of a world in chaos unless the U.S. controls the planet by whatever means are necessary and likely to succeed. This position is corroborated by Dr. Johannes B. Koeppl, Ph.D. a former German defense ministry official and advisor to former NATO Secretary General Manfred Werner. On November 6, he told FTW, “The interests behind the Bush Administration, such as the CFR, The Trilateral Commission – founded by Brzezinski for David Rockefeller – and the Bilderberg Group, have prepared for and are now moving to implement open world dictatorship within the next five years. They are not fighting against terrorists. They are fighting against citizens.” (Emphasis is mine…Ed) Brzezinski’s own words – laid against the current official line that the United States is waging a war to end terrorism - are self-incriminating. In an ongoing series of articles, FTW has consistently established that the U.S. government had foreknowledge of the World Trade Center attacks and chose not to stop them because it needed to secure public approval for a war that is now in progress. It is a war, as described by Vice President Dick Cheney, “that may not end in our lifetimes.” What that means is that it will not end until all armed groups, anywhere in the world, which possess the political, economic or military ability to resist the imposition of this dictatorship, have been destroyed. These are the “terrorists” the U..S. now fights in Afghanistan and plans to soon fight all over the globe. But the real purpose of my essay deals with the conspiracy surrounding the events of September 11, 2001. It is part of “The Grand Deception” that Mr. Griffin speaks of on his website and his book “The Creature >From Jekyll Island”, and that Zbigniew Brzenzinski writes about in “The Grand Chessboard”. The truth of this whole sordid affair is now starting to show up in the mainstream press. It has been coming out a little bit at a time, but there was a news story on one of the major networks earlier this month that said that 9/11 was preventable. The cat is now amongst the pigeons. I want to start this commentary on 9/11 with an interview with former German Cabinet Minister Andreas von Buelow that appeared in a prominent Berlin newspaper. The interview is old….January 2002….and you can rest assured that no part of this interview ever showed up in the press in North America. I found this interview after a quote of von Buelow’s showed up in the article that I mentioned that I received about two weeks ago. Cabinet Minister Attacks Source: Tagesspiegel, 13 Jan 2002 In a full-page interview with the Sunday edition (Jan. 13) of the Berlin Tagesspiegel daily, former German Minister of Technology, Andreas von Buelow, said he does not buy any of the official theories that have been presented to date, on the events of September 11. The apparent failure of the U.S. Administration including its 26 secret agencies with an annual budget of $30 billion, to come up with any convincing assessment, was one big problem that von Buelow addressed, in quite some detail. He then addressed the role of the official "brainwashing of the Western mass democracies" on the Sept. 11 issue, in promoting the new enemy image of "Islamic terrorism," along lines developed earlier, by senior advisors of the U.S. Administration: "I am not the origin of the idea of the enemy image. It originates with Zbigniew Brzezinski and Samuel Huntington, two pioneers of American secret intelligence and foreign policies. "Already in the mid-1990s, Huntington opined that people in Europe and the USA needed someone they could hate -- that would strengthen the identification with their own society. And Brzezinski, that mad dog, already at his time as advisor to President Jimmy Carter, campaigned for the sole right of the USA to all the world's raw materials, especially crude oil and natural gas." Von Buelow also addressed the role of Brzezinski, personally, in setting up the afghani operation of armed "Islamic" guerilla warfare against the USSR Afghanistan invasion in and after 1979 -- the Taliban being generated by the same operation, after all. As for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks as such, von Buelow remarked: "Planning the attacks was a master deed, in technical and organizational terms. To hijack four big airliners within a few minutes and fly them into targets within a single hour and doing so on complicated flight routes! That is unthinkable, without backing from the secret apparatuses of state and industry." He added that laying false tracks of investigation has been an accompanying feature of covert operations ever since they have been launched by influential agencies, so that he is convinced that the full truth behind Sept. 11 still has to be sought. Interesting interview, isn’t it? Like I said, I found out about this interview when I was researching Mr. von Buelow when his name showed up in the article below. Remember that the above interview occurred almost two years ago. The essay below by John Kaminski is very recent…this month…mid December. The first dozen paragraphs show beyond any doubt that the ‘powers that be’ in both the government, military and the various security agencies (both in the USA and abroad) are not exactly telling the truth, and are making every attempt to cover it up. 911
COVER UP IS FALLING APART.... "If what I
say is right, the whole U.S. government should end up behind To most Americans, the first inkling that something was wrong with the official story of the 9/11 catastrophe occurred about a year after the event, when President Bush resisted setting up a panel to investigate the events of that dark day. Why would he not want to investigate the greatest crime in American history many wondered? Then, he badly under funded it. Then, he tried to name infamous power broker Henry Kissinger to head it. Since then, Bush has stonewalled a committee of his own choosing, one stacked with political functionaries that are ill-equipped to conduct either a police or forensic investigation - and, perhaps most revealing, one that accepted the government's version of who the guilty parties were before they examined any evidence! To date, there has never been anything revealed to the public about how the U.S. government KNOWS that Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda were the actual perpetrators of 9/11. Today, millions of Americans realize - simply from watching thousands of cop shows on TV - that the one most interested in covering up a crime is the one most likely to have committed it. Many more millions also realize that the foremost beneficiaries of the attacks and mass killings of 9/11 are the same people who are now waging wars that are based on some very suspicious rationalizations, most of which since have been exposed as outright lies. Shockingly enough, even Thomas Kean, chairman of the committee constructed to cover up this greatest crime in American history, blew the whistle the other day that the attacks could have been prevented. Whether this will develop into a real investigation, or whether Kean's remarks were nothing more than what is called "a limited hangout," remains to be seen. But Kean's comment was evidence that a much larger percentage of the American people is beginning to sense that the "they hate our freedom" rationale uttered by the president is clearly bogus, and there is much more than meets the media eye happening about 9/11. To a far smaller number of Americans, the official 9/11 story began to smell much earlier than when Bush tried to stall the official investigation. When top Bush administration officials immediately and in unison denied knowing that jetliners could be used to attack American landmarks right after 9/11, a number of alert reporters immediately pointed out that this very subject had been under government study for almost a decade. And when U.S. officials immediately released a list of the alleged hijackers, the lie was immediately visible to those with eyes to see: how could they deny knowing this possibility of a massive jetliner attack existed, yet be able to name the alleged hijackers almost instantly because these individuals had been under surveillance for months? If they could name the alleged hijackers, then they couldn't deny knowing the possibility of using planes as weapons existed, could they? As astonishing events unfolded after the tragedy - the hasty passage of the Patriot Act (approved by congress despite virtually no one in Congress reading it before voting for it), which nullified large portions of the U.S. Constitution; constant "terror alerts" about which no evidence was ever produced; the war against Afghanistan which was claimed to be a response to 9/11 yet was planned long before 9/11; and the war against Iraq, which was waged because that nation supposedly threatened America with weapons of mass destruction (which have never and will never be found, unless planted) and had ties to that mystery terror group called al-Qaeda (since proven to be lies) - many more millions of Americans began to understand that the new peril they were in was not from some shadowy worldwide terror group but from unscrupulous demagogues in Washington who would invent any story - and kill any number of people - in order to improve the fortunes of the very military/industrial power brokers who illegally brought them to power in the first place. In the mind of these many more millions of Americans, a new syllogism began to take shape: if they lied about why they went to war in Afghanistan and they lied about why they went to war in Iraq, how stupid would Americans have to be to believe what they said about 9/11? And yet, through two years of intense flag waving, during which most Americans were too terrified to say anything critical of those who were ostensibly protecting us from this new wave of worldwide terror, the lies became cast in stone. The media, owned by the same shameful specimens who own the weapons making companies, refused to even entertain the notion that the U.S. government could tell blatant lies to its own people, never mind murder thousands of them in one day. Worse, what passed for the political opposition was afraid to even whisper what was becoming obvious in the minds of so many Americans with functioning brains - that the initial signs of a deliberate air defense stand-down, the phony mythology about Muslim hijackers, the funny way all those buildings in New York happened to fall, the tiny hole in the Pentagon that was supposedly caused by a giant airliner, and the curiously comatose behavior of our president when the nation he was supposed to be leading was under dire attack - that 9/11 bore a multitude of evidential suggestions that it was an inside job, executed to give right-wing crazies a better shot at looting the treasury of their own country in a variety of ways. This scenario has now obviously come to pass. And that is really where we stand today. Shockingly, while millions around the country and billions more around the world are certain that this is what happened, not a single major politician now chirping about irrelevant subjects in order to be permitted to run for the office of president against the world's top mass murderer has uttered even a single syllable that these millions of Americans who believe something is very wrong with the official 9/11 story just might be right. And in the so-called American free press, our prostituted media continue a total blackout on the subject, as evidenced by the total silence that accompanied the recent filing of a lawsuit by 9/11 widow Ellen Mariani again President Bush for obstruction of justice and treason. This is a travesty of mind-boggling proportions. Like the entire Congress that goose stepped late at night while it knocked over the U.S. Constitution, here we have the complete political spectrum - every single rich man who has declared his intention to run for president - not daring to admit what millions of Americans know beyond doubt in the sincerest depths of their hearts - that 9/11 was conceived, devised, planned and carried out from the offices of power in the United States, principally Washington, but also New York and Langley, Virginia, and quite possibly Tel Aviv. You have only to look at the psychologically palsied and putrescent behavior of the official 9/11 investigative body, the Kean commission - as well as the insane and demonic actions of every single functionary in the Bush Administration - to know in your heart that it's true. And realize the jeopardy we are all in. Fortunately, there are many scrupulous personalities who haven't bought the shallow lies and who have worked doggedly since that dark day to bring the cynical deceptions to light. They have analyzed the fall of the WTC towers and concluded they were most likely demolished. Why else would so much of the rubble have turned to powder and the towers themselves exploded at the top? Why else would WTC7 have fallen in the same manner of the others when it was not hit by a plane? They have talked the Pentagon scenario to death and concluded there was no legitimate trace of jetliner rubble to be found, written that a hole of that small type was most likely made by a missile, and concluded that reports of identifying the DNA of every passenger on Flight 77 in that rubble was simply an impossible lie if the fires were hot enough to have melted virtually every trace of the crashed airliner. They have concluded beyond doubt that the alleged maneuvers of the Pentagon jet could never have been accomplished by someone who did not do well in a small plane at a jerkwater flight school. When you read through these and understand their contents, you will understand beyond question that everything you hear from the mouths of presidential candidates, government officials and TV commentators is a lie. That there is so much evidence to convince you that 9/11 was an inside job, that our leading officials are criminals and mass murderers, that you, as a functioning human being on this earth, have no choice but to try to convince your neighbor that something must done if we are not to go quietly into this police state prison that has been prepared for us. And yet, with all the comprehensive and inspired research that has been done (really, the Kean commission only needs to read the internet before recommending mass arrests for virtually all of the American government's leadership) there are two glaring areas that continue to delay the search for justice about 9/11. The first involves the suspicious investments prior to 9/11, in which millions of dollars were made by betting the price of certain airline stocks (and other companies, some of which were located in the WTC towers) would go down. Financial laws guarantee a degree of confidentiality in these transactions, even those these laws principally protect crooks with large amounts of money who are often doing something the law does not permit. Nevertheless, the laws are set up to protect these identities. Had America a great and honest leader, he (or she) would suspend these laws and name the beneficiaries of these suspicious transactions, reasoning that the greater good was served by tracking down the real perpetrators of the 9/11 mass murder instead of protecting the identities who clearly knew that 9/11 was going to happen before it did happen. Could there be any clearer path to uncovering the real criminals who killed all those people in New York and Washington (and later in Afghanistan and Iraq)? No, there couldn't. Any genuine investigation into the crimes of 9/11 would start (and quite possibly finish) right here. In addition to releasing the contents of the black boxes that were found in the wreckages of the three disaster venues of 9/11, as well as the contents of the footage taken by the confiscated security cameras near the Pentagon (which could clearly reveal what actually did hit the Pentagon), the names of the investors who profited from insider trading in the days prior to 9/11 would give us a clear look at who the actual perpetrators of this unspeakable crime actually were. It is a way to solve the crime, and it is clear. Logical people must assume that those who would prevent this method of solving this crime clearly have some involvement in it. This is beyond debate. The second area most researchers have failed to make any real headway in is the involvement of Israel and its intelligence agency the Mossad in the planning and carrying out of the 9/11 attacks. Sure, Israel was one of those many countries that gave advance warning to the U.S. that something like this was about to happen (you remember, those warnings that Bush and his thugs insist they never got, but fortunately were reliably recorded by the other countries themselves). The facts are that the evidence for Israeli involvement is substantial. Two workers in an Israeli company located in New York got advance warnings by e-mail two hours before the attacks. Israeli "art students" were shadowing the alleged hijackers for many months during their sojourns in flight schools around the United States. Five Israelis were arrested for dancing in celebration shortly after the planes hit the towers; two had connections to the Mossad. And, perhaps foremost, in the city with the largest Jewish population in the entire world, virtually no Israelis were killed in the 9/11 attacks. Taken together, these coincidences are too astonishing to ignore. And given Israel's history of "false flag" operations (conducting terror and getting the blame shifted to another country), its involvement throughout history in attacks on its own citizens and Jews around the world to get them to behave in a certain way, its ponderous influence on the American congress and the American media, and the words of former Israeli prime minister Netanyahu, who immediately after the attacks said they were a very good thing for Israel, many millions of people believe that Israel was really the driving force behind 9/11, simply to get the Americans to continue to do their bidding in the Middle East, which as you can see by subsequent events, clearly is continuing to happen. The withholding of information by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission of the names of the men who profited from the suspicious trades in the days before 9/11, and the hidden role of Israeli intelligence in a caper in the biggest Jewish city in the world in a complex owned by Jewish businessmen continue to be the two most significant uninvestigated aspects of 9/11, and the ones most likely to lead to a genuine finding of fact about what really happened on this tragic and significant day. Unfortunately, the powers that be are doing everything they can to impede investigation into these two areas, as well as into all other areas of information about 9/11. Thus, it stands to reason, just on the basis of rules established in all those TV detective shows, that the powers that be are the ones who committed these heinous crimes, for the purpose of regimenting society more to their liking, because a regimented society is more profitable, and those under the thumb of a totalitarian capitalist dictatorship, as we are now, are far less likely to solve crimes and discover the perpetrators of the horror of 9/11 that changed the fundamental nature of the nation and the world in which we live. It's not too much to demand honesty and accountability. Insist your favorite presidential candidate tell you about what he knows about 9/11, the insider trading, and Israel's influence. The story revolves around a newspaper article that appeared in the British newspaper, The Guardian, which was supposedly written by a current sitting member of the House of Commons in Britain, Michael Meacher (that appeared in The Guardian), at least it’s his name that appears on the byline. He basically says that the reasons the United States and Britain went to war in Afghanistan and Iraq were total bullshit, and that the official accounts of 9/11, being very similar to how the Japanese were set up at Pearl Harbor, did not pass the smell test. The book is entitled “The New Pearl Harbor – Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11”. It would be my opinion that this book will do well. As all the above authors in this essay have stated, every major event in America’s war history since the Federal Reserve was created, has had at its roots a conspiracy of government, military, banking and big business; to draw the ordinary citizen into a war that they neither want and their sitting Presidents at the time said they would never have to fight. It was always some conveniently applied triggering event that reluctantly brought the public on side. But this time, more and more people throughout the America (and the world), are not buying it. Like the gold and silver conspiracy…and now long term US interest rates, and the bond and equity markets…it would be a serious mistake to assume that America, and the banking system and power elite that run it from within the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, and Royal Institute of International Affairs, would not have their respective fingers in every other pie in the world as well…9/11 included. We in the gold world refuse to believe what we read in the mainstream press about what’s going on in our golden world. And we don’t exactly jump up and down in agreement with the unemployment numbers, or the CPI and PPI…so why should we believe anything else the government and the elite controlled media is telling us on any other issue? The problem is that because, for the most part, we are all men (and women) of great honour, and we just aren’t used to thinking big enough or bad enough. The writings of Katherine Austin Fitts at LeMetropoleCafe showing some of the nefarious goings on at HUD, should have given us some idea of just how corrupt Washington has become. What we are witnessing is a fight to the death against all the citizens of the world by all the power and money in the world. Since most top members of the United States government are all selected from the ranks of the Council on Foreign Relations and The Trilateral Commission, it is a short step to come to the understanding that the Congress and the Senate are not working in the best interests of their citizens…but against them. This may explain why most Americans feel disenfranchised from their government in Washington. They just didn’t know what the real reasons are, and the major press organizations that are all in on the scam…aren’t printing a word about it. The citizens of the USA, and by extension, the rest of the world have become “Enemies of the State”. And if you haven’t seen that movie…rent it. Tonight would be a good idea. The condition that American now finds itself in reminds me of a bumper sticker on a car from the State of Wyoming that was driving around Edmonton a couple of years ago. It said “If my vote made any difference, they would make it illegal”. I laughed at it then…but I’m not now. This is not to say that these groups are going to ultimately win the war. Other countries, races, and religious organizations throughout the world are now wise to this game (and have been for years) and are fighting back. China, India, Russia, parts of Europe and the Arab countries are now beginning to co-operate on a scale never before seen, as they attempt to curb America’s power at all levels. Even within these four organizations themselves, there is infighting going on…Europe vs. Britain vs. the USA. Some of the old 19th and 20th century rivalries are resurfacing, and there are some serious cracks showing up in what will prove to be the biggest power struggle the world has ever seen. And the losers will be us if we’re not careful. This is what is going on below the surface. It is the “Grand Conspiracy”….the “Great Game” come back to life.
