Compiled from the world's top 100 gold producers in Australia, Canada, South Africa & the USA.
The SLG100 was designed as a broad index with the intent of creating a buying/selling momentum indicator for goldstocks from the advancers/decliners/unchanged statistics of the index. To measure the internal momentum of the underlying pulse of the gold producer sector and to plot these movements against the index.
The movements of the SLG100 Index have a high correlation to gold & goldstocks and the Swing Cycle generated from the advancers/decliners/unchanged internals have an excellent correlation to the goldstocks and show the buying/selling momentum within the stocks.
The long-term Swing Cycle is a slow oscillation indicator which ranges from positive to negative & the cycle's highs & lows coincide well with the SLG100 Index's highs & lows creating a timing tool for goldstock traders.
