Daniel Küttel's Blog

Expat

Daniel Küttel is a tax-compliant middle-class American living in Bremgarten (near Zürich), Switzerland, who renounced his U.S. citizenship last year because of national origin discrimination, increased filing complications, the threat of increased compliance costs, generalizations, to support Americans abroad, disagreement with U.S. foreign policy, concerns about the U.S. national debt, the threat of the exit tax and many other reasons. Daniel served in the U.S. army for 3 years prior to 2000, and has nothing against America and American people, doesn’t oppose Obama, and is happily working for an American company (based in Singapore).

He was recently featured on BBC Radio and quoted in the LA Times regarding his experience as an expatriate.
