Jerry Schlichter received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois in 1969, with honors and was a James Scholar. Mr. Schlichter received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Los Angeles Law School in 1972, where he was an Associate Editor of UCLA Law Review. Mr. Schlichter is licensed to practice law in the states of California, Illinois, and Missouri, and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and numerous federal courts. He has also been an Adjunct Professor teaching trial class at Washington University Law School.

During his career, Mr. Schlichter has handled on behalf of plaintiffs many substantial personal injury cases, consumer cases, toxic tort cases, and numerous complex, multi-plaintiff cases including mass tort cases, and various class actions. For each year, since 2007, he has been listed among the 100 most influential persons nationally in the 401(k) industry in the industry publication 401(k) Wire, and in one of those years was listed as third most influential. Recently, Investment News featured his work on 401(k) cases on behalf of employees and called him “Public Enemy No. 1”.
