Jim welcomes Judi Bar, Yoga Program Manager at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute. Judi tells her story of overcoming extreme back pain in her mid-40’s, where doctors had said she had the back of an 85-year old and would have to live with the intense pain. She was able to cure herself, and yoga played a major role. Thus it became her mission to help heal others, and that is what she now does through yoga at the Cleveland Clinic. Judi discusses how mindfulness plays a large role in the practice of yoga, and how yoga can actually help us change our behaviors. She also points out that yoga practice can make physiological changes over time, positively affecting heart rate, blood pressure and even the immune system.
