Global Delta Peak? Also, Robert Rapier on the Problem of Controlling Emissions

August 13, 2021 – US stocks ended roughly flat this week though a small gain for the Dow and S&P 500 was just enough to push both indices to new record highs. On today's Financial Sense Newshour podcast, Bruce Fraser provides his technical outlook on the market. Then, the well-known energy expert Robert Rapier explains why electric vehicles haven't been able to reduce carbon emissions in California, Norway, and other countries that have the highest number of EVs per capita. Robert also discusses how reducing emissions in the US will not offset the massive amounts of carbon produced elsewhere. Lastly, Chris Puplava joins us for this week's Smart Macro segment and says it looks like we may be seeing a peak in global delta cases and also explains how we at Financial Sense Wealth Management are thinking and investing given the current backdrop.
