Biography
Todd is a respected authority on trust and estate matters with over 20 years of experience implementing complex wealth preservation strategies. His practice is concentrated in the areas of estate and tax planning, trust and estate administration, charitable planning, and business succession planning. For many of his clients, philanthropy is a top priority. Todd routinely advises his clients on the formation and operation of charitable trusts, foundations, and other non-profit organizations. A significant portion of his practice is also devoted to representing musicians, songwriters, entertainers and recording artists. Many of these clients have special estate planning concerns that include the valuation and disposition of intellectual property rights, royalty income, valuable memorabilia and artwork, and merchandising contracts.
Todd is a frequent speaker and writer on many issues relating to estate planning. He was a co-author of Horner Probate Practice and Estates (5th Ed., 2007), an in-depth reference book published by Thomson Reuters, which guides practitioners through the steps, issues, and legal requirements of estate administration. It includes relevant federal and state case and statutory law; court rules; and analysis of decisions, legislation, and supreme court rules.
