Jennifer Duell Popovec is an award-winning journalist. For the past 15 years, she has focused primarily on business journalism with a specialty in commercial real estate, finance/investing, retail, hospitality and healthcare. She has written under the bylines Jennifer D. Duell, Jennifer Duell Popovec, and Jennifer Popovec.

Jennifer has more than a 1,000 bylines to her credit. She has been published in a number of general business publications including the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Fortune, Fortune Small Business, and Robb Report.

She has also written for commercial real estate-focused publications including Commercial Property Executive, National Real Estate Investor, REIT, Retail Traffic, Multifamily Executive, Apartment Finance Today, Developer, and HOTELS' Investment Outlook.

She currently serves as the REIT expert for Registered Rep magazine and wealthmanagement.com.

In 2009, she launched her own online media outlet, Medical Office Today (MOT), with the goal of helping medical practices make smarter business decisions. MOT’sweekly deploys to 35,000 people and is a leading source of information for the healthcare community.

Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

Jennifer and her husband of 13 years live in a 103-year-old house in Fort Worth’s historic district with their pets.
