Biography
Thomas Donlan is editorial page editor of Barron's, The Dow Jones Business and Financial Weekly. He is based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Donlan joined Barron's as a reporter in New York in 1979 and transferred to the Washington, D.C., bureau in 1981. He was named a senior special writer in January 1985 and became Barron's editorial page editor in January 1992.
Mr. Donlan began his journalism career in 1969 as a reporter for The Record in Hackensack, N.J. In 1974, he joined the Associated Press as a reporter and worked in the Newark and Trenton, N.J., bureaus.
Mr. Donlan’s book, "Supertech: How America Can Win The Technology Race," was published in April 1991 by Business One Irwin. In 1995, his book, "Don't Count On It: Why Your Pension May Be In Jeopardy and How To Protect Yourself," was published by Simon & Schuster. Mr. Donlan’s third book, "A World of Wealth: How Capitalism Turns Profit into Progress," was published in 2007 by FT Press.
