We just discovered that Apple's latest iOS update (9.0 and on) has a bug that prevents our subscribers using their personalized FS Insider iTunes feeds from downloading new and old episodes in Apple's podcast player. (Note: subscribers can still listen or stream all our content in Apple's podcast app, but just not download it straight to their phone.)

Now to the solution! The best way to fix this is to use an alternate podcast player called Overcast, which is both free and has a much higher rating than Apple's default podcast player. To download Overcast, simply visit the App Store and search for Overcast. Click Get and then Install.
Once Overcast has been installed on your iPhone or iPad, locate it on your home screen, open the new player and then click "Add A Podcast". Click where it says "Add URL" in the upper right hand corner of the screen and then copy and paste in your personalized FS Insider feed (instructions on how to retrieve this below) where it says “Podcast or site URL”.
How to Retrieve Your FS Insider RSS Feed
Log in to Financial Sense from your mobile device and then click Account in the upper right hand corner. From your My account page, click the RSS Feeds tab. Click on “Subscribe to Personal RSS Feed (Manual)” and copy and paste the URL listed near the bottom (Note: touch and hold above the URL until either part or all of it is highlighted. After making sure the entire link is highlighted blue, click Copy.)
Open Overcast and, continuing with the instructions earlier, click and hold under where it says “Podcast or site URL:” and then click Paste. Click Done at the bottom.
Downloading Content in Overcast
Once you’ve inserted the feed, click FINANCIAL SENSE under podcasts and then select ALL to see a full list of current and prior episodes. Click any episode to download and listen directly from your phone. Once played, episodes are automatically deleted. It's that simple!
